till the bitter end, i will fight

Hello again; so, in following the princess theme I have this week, Mulan was next on my list because - let's face it, she's a total BAMF (and I know she's not REALLY a princess, but whatever).

Anyway, I was looking for my fairytale book and Mulan's story, sadly, wasn't in there. Go figure right (apparently the book was written a very, VERY long time ago, so mostly only traditional European fairytales were included in it); but fear not, I found a translation for the original Chinese poem of Mulan; and I based this version of Mulan off that idea. That's also where the quote came from (it says "she only hears the Yellow River's flowing waters).

So, anyway, I started drawing Mulan and then I started playing a little bit of Mirror's Edge, so that kind of influenced her clothes, hehe, and they aren't very historically correct. But you know what? I don't care; she looks totally badass and that's just the way I like it.
